In My Feelings….It’s Complicated

Don’t you just love that title. I bet you think I’m about to go on a rant about something NOPE!!! That’s the title to my book. YYYAAAYYY I am so EXCITED!! My book is very close to being done. Normally I would downplay my accomplishments but I am definitely not doing that anymore. I am celebrating myself. I worked hard on this book. I wrote it and then rewrote, and rewrote, and edited and started from scratch to make sure this was a great book. I used to write stories and plays as a kid and I always said I wanted to write a book, and I actually did it.

This accomplishment is so huge, especially for a person like me who has had a hard time finishing things. It took me four months to write this book, and I wrote the majority of it on my phone using google docs. I was so determined to prove to myself that I could actually finish it that I grinded every day to make it happen. I remember I was sick with the flu for almost a week but I was lying in my bed sick writing. I laughed, cried and even got mad at my characters in writing this book. Sometimes I would forget that I wrote the book it would get so good to me. I was amazed at what I was capable of when I pushed myself. Now on to what this book is about.

What would you do if you were in love with two people at the same time? We take a journey with Layla as she goes through high school trying to sort out her complicated love life. The sexy football player and most popular boy in school named Donte, or her one of her two best friends Nate. Who will she choose? Her other best friend Millie will be along for the crazy ride. Yes, it’s set in high school but it definitely a book for ages 18 and over. The nostalgia of the ’90s setting and music will take you back to a time when things were so simple. I can not wait for you guys to read it.
